Two of our constituent colleges — the Asian College of Veterinary Surgeons (AiCVS) and the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (AiCVIM) — will hold their first joint annual meeting in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on 12–13 December 2026.
This is the first time the two colleges have collaborated to host their annual meeting together, bringing specialists, clinicians, researchers and trainees from across Asia and beyond into a single interdisciplinary programme.
The congress co-conveners are Dr Cheng-Shu Chung (PhD, DAiCVS), representing AiCVS, and Dr Ya-Pei Chang (PhD, DipECVN, DAiCVIM), representing AiCVIM.
The programme runs across five parallel rooms, with dedicated AiCVS and AiCVIM streams alongside oral abstract sessions for both colleges. Topic streams include minimally invasive surgery and interventional radiology, cardiology, airway disease, FIP, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, soft tissue surgery and oncology.
The opening keynote, “Plan, Print, Perform: How Technology Is Redefining Orthopedic Surgery”, will be delivered by Dr Po-Yen Chou. Other confirmed speakers include Dr I-Jung Chi, Dr Darren Sihn, Dr Nai-Chieh Liu, Dr Hiroki Sano, Dr Hiroo Kanai, Dr Ikuya Ehara and Dr Ko Kadowaki, with panel contributions from colleagues in Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
Both colleges will hold their board meetings during the congress, and a congress dinner follows the close of the first day.
The Organizing Committee invites submissions of original studies and clinical case reports. The abstract submission deadline is 31 August 2026, 23:59 (GMT+8). Authors will be notified of the outcome by 8 October 2026.

The registration fee includes access to all scientific sessions on 12–13 December (excluding workshops), entry to the exhibition and poster areas, daily lunch and coffee/tea breaks, a welcome kit, and a certificate of attendance. The congress dinner is ticketed separately.
Please note that on-site payment must be made in cash in New Taiwan Dollars only — credit cards and foreign currencies are not accepted at the door. No cancellations will be accepted on or after 1 August 2026; requests received before that date are eligible for a full refund minus an administrative fee.
Kaohsiung is Taiwan’s largest port city, served by Kaohsiung International Airport and the Taiwan High-Speed Rail, with an extensive MRT network. December falls in the mild season, with an annual average temperature of around 25°C. The local currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (NT$) and major international credit cards are widely accepted. Mandarin Chinese is the official language, with English widely understood in tourist areas.
